What is Cryotherapy?

Cryotherapy is a treatment which uses extreme cold to freeze and remove unwanted or abnormal skin tissue. Nitrous oxide is applied at a high pressure to freeze the area. Cells cannot survive after this extreme freezing and a scab soon forms. Within 1-3 weeks the scab will fall off leaving behind healed skin in its place.
Cryotherapy is relatively painless, minimally invasive, and only treats the affected area itself, not the skin surrounding it. This treatment is perfect for those who have unwanted skin imperfections or blemishes they would like to have removed. Repeat visits may not be necessary, depending on the skin abnormality. Cryotherapy is a quick, comfortable, and effective treatment. Sessions can be as quick as 2 minutes for a small lesion. A consultation is necessary before this treatment.
