What is HIFU & how does it work?

High Intensity Focused Ultrasound or ‘HIFU’ is a non-invasive facial treatment that targets signs of ageing. HIFU works as a non-invasive facelift by targeting deep layers of the skin. By penetrating deep into the skin’s layers, it boosts new collagen production right at the source. HIFU targets deep beneath the skin’s surface, including the dermis, down to the SMAS (superficial muscular aponeurotic system), which is the layer targeted by surgeons during a traditional facelift. A much safer and cost-friendly option than a surgical facelift, HIFU is quickly becoming one of the most sought-after anti-ageing treatments.

Great for tightening and lifting, HIFU is painless and requires zero downtime. Sessions typically last an hour, with extra time allocated if the neck and decolletage are being treated. To see optimal results, a course of 3 sessions is recommended. When combined with a medical grade homecare routine, the results of HIFU can last for approximately 1 year.

HIFU can be done in combination with Fat Dissolve or RF Microneedling to target specific skin concerns. Please book a skin consultation if you are unsure of which treatment plan to choose.
